I often wonder what I am doing in life. I mean, what should I be doing as an adult? Saving all my money until I retire, then sit around my house counting it all?

Should I not have any fun while I am at an age where I can actually take advantage of good health and steady income?

I spend a lot of time and money and energy watching movies, playing games, writing, drawing, playing on the internet, messing with my computer and other fun stuff in general. I get the feeling that a lot of people do not appreciate my lifestyle because I do not have the responsibly of children, mortgage, crappy job..etc. I can see their point, it’s harder when you have those things to contend with.

I have made choices in my life that lead me here, a wonderful husband, good health, good income lots of luxuries and stimulating distractions… all good.

Someday, when misery does fall upon my life, and I know it will because it always is lurking around some distant corner, I will be ready.

I will be confident and satisfied that I have lived my life as best I can. Whatever unhappy situation that may come around, death of a loved one, illness, poverty, aging and becoming less capable of taking care of myself or enjoying life.. whatever it is, I am sure I will not regret having had too much fun and enjoying my life at every opportunity.
